Despite the wear of the surface and the fact that it is a paste of glass, where the pattern was molded, the movement of the characters is just and well understood and the proportions of the bodies, although very graceful, are good. The shape of the ring, narrow ring widening at the level of the shoulder in a kind of floret, the kitten set with a ring with cut sides, is characteristic of the third century it would appear around the year 200 to disappear clans the years 250-260. St. Boil, No. 80-6. Solid silver ring, decorated with an intaglio in agate with four horizontal layers, flat-faced and slice wide flattened bevel, set with a thin gold thread welded to the ring. The stone is engraved with a figure of naked Mercury, standing on a line of ground, turned to the right, the mantle on the left shoulder. He holds in his left hand a purse, whose shape in crow's feet is clearly legible, and on the right the caduceus. A rooster on the right is at his feet. The intaglio is of good quality, as evidenced by some carefully noted details of the musculature and the hip movement of the body, reminiscent of the Polykleitos model. However, the movement of the chlamys is illogical and the hands poorly drawn. The motive of the Mercury with the cock appears at the end of the Hellenistic period, but remains rather rare on the currencies and the gems whereas it is very current in the small statuary of bronze. The work belongs to the "classical patterned current." The shape of the ring, with a strongly enlarged ring on the shoulders, it was long in fashion since it is found, especially in the north and in the east from Gaul and along the Rhine limes throughout the 2nd century centuries up to the mid-3rd century AD. Silver ring, whose kitten, now detached, was formed of a glass intaglio, held by a silver crimp ring with cut sides. The intaglio very damaged and rendered almost illegible by the iridescence of the glass, is broken in two and a triangular fragment is missing in the lower part. The upper body of a helmeted figure, the head turned to the left, the bust face, holding a spear can be noticed on the intaglio. It could be Mars or Minerva. The shape of the ring, with broad shoulders, in the shape of a floret, allow the dating in the 3rd century AD.
Intaglio: h. max. 14 mm; l. 12 mm; thickness: about 5 mm. Saint Boil, no. 80-10. Dating: 3rd century AD Carnelian intaglio with flat face and beveled edges, set with a silver ring. On the reverse, remains of the fixing paste. The ring itself is missing, but the fact that the stone is set with a cut-off ring, from where it emerges in high relief can date the type of ring to the third century AD. The motive seems to be that of Fortuna, very often, sitting on a throne, holding a rudder in her left hand. Usually the goddess holds a cornucopia with the other hand, but here the whole area of the left arm is incomprehensible and does not allow to identify the attribute. The bust is long and disproportionate compared to the very short left leg.

The silver ring - now completely chlorinated to the point of disintegration - was decorated with a glass paste, dark blue and light blue-gray, with flat surface and beveled edges. A character, naked - Apollo? - stands frontal, the head turned right, the left leg crossed, leaning against a column in a posture derived from Praxiteles types. The shape of the ring, with broad shoulders and welded crimp ring, makes it possible to date it from the 3rd century AD.
Intaglio: 12 x 10 mm; thickness with the crimping ring: about 4.5 mm. Ring: diam. Int .: 18 mm; diam. max. ext .: 22 mm; Width max. shoulders: 9 mm. St. Boil, No. 82-7.
