Gold ring adorned with an intaglio with a flat surface and beveled edges, in blue glass imitating nicolo: Bellerophon straddling Pegasus fights the chimera, similar to a panther, situated below him. The characters are turned to the left.
Despite the wear of the surface and the fact that it is a paste of glass, where the pattern was molded, the movement of the characters is just and well understood and the proportions of the bodies, although very graceful, are good.
The shape of the ring, narrow ring widening at the level of the shoulder in a kind of floret, the kitten set with a ring with cut sides, is characteristic of the third century it would appear around the year 200 to disappear clans the years 250-260. It is found mainly on the territory of Gaul, in treasures dating from the middle and the second half of the first century.
Dating: 3rd century AD.
