The simple earring consists of a single round forged gold wire. One end of the wire forms the hook of the locking device, which merges into the bracket. The shackle continues over the back of a round decorative disc, bending at the other end to form a large eyelet into which the hook is inserted. Starting from here, the wire forms the decorative disk in the form of a spiral with four turns. The second end of the wire is then twisted around the bracket for attachment. This is bent by 90° from the hook to the twisted end of the wire and must originally have been completely behind the spiral.
Depicting Herakles fighting a lion Orange-brown agate with dark inclusions. High oval, fragmented ring stone, flat on both sides, rim beveled towards the front, straight edge. The cameo shows an intaglio depiction of Herakles fighting the Nemean lion above a base line. The naked hero stands in a lunge position to the right and strangles the lion, which is turned to the left. The beast has pounced on Heracles, with the right hind leg on the ground, the left hind and front paw braced against the opponent's right thigh, and the long tail reaching down to the hero's left foot. Both Heracles and the lion appear in profile. A characteristic attribute of the hero can be seen in the left picture field with a vertical club. The head of Herakles is missing at the top.
