Summary

A hoard of circa 800 silver coins found in the outskirts of Kayseri. It included 9 drachms of Archelaus (year 41, i.e. AD 5/6, and year 42, i.e. AD 6/7), provincial silver coins of Caesarea ranging in date from Tiberius to Hadrian, 4 drachms of Polemo II of Pontus (with Nero, year 19, AD 56/7), one Roman denarius (Domitian), together with a bronze lamp. 213 coins were described by Baldwin in 1927. There is no record of the remaining coins. The list given follows the lists in RPC I, II, and III.
