Fetching coin data
A large portion of the lower part of a large coarse ware vessel was recovered with the hoard. The surviving sherds, weighing 1831g, represent the complete base and lower wall of a large jar or similar vessel with a base diameter of 14.5cm. The vessel was made from a distinctive grey white dense sandy fabric with grey/yellow exterior and interior surfaces. Regular fracture; dense matrix with abundant (30-40%), well sorted subrounded square quartz grains with a modal size of 0.2mm; rare large well rounded rectangular black flint inclusions.
