The hoard was discovered in the "middle house" structure in Area I. "Near the doorway, and close to where the end of this cupboard would have been, there was found a hoard of 85 small denomination bronze coins. These lay amongst the crushed remains of three ceramic vessels, any or all of which may have originally contained them. The 45 identifiable coins from this hoard were all minted during the reign of Constantius II (337-361)" (Russell 1980, 48).
