"The hoard was found within a juglet, buried in the ground and resting on bedrock in the northernmost enclosure in Building V [Locus 2055]. The building was partly destroyed by the construction of a street in the new settlement of Qiryat Sefer. Like the bronze hoard, the silver hoard was apparently deposited during the Bar-Kokhba Revolt and was never retrieved by its owner" (Bijovsky 2004, 246).
