Summary

A hoard unknown size found in or near Harlech Castle some time around 1695-96. The coins were allegedly concealed within an “Urn of Porphyry” and appear to have been a mixture of radiates and nummi that included issues of Gallienus, Claudius II, Postumus, Victorinus, Tetricus (I?), and Constantius (I or II?). The finder - “a virtuoso who is a Phisithian who is gone to the East Indies” - apparently sold the hoard soon after its discovery. No further information is available.
