Summary

The hoard was found under two stones which formed a small niche and comprised some pottery vessels and a wooden box containing approximately 150 (or 340) scyphate bronzes and a dupondius of Titus. The Continental Iron Age coins are of two module sizes (12-13mm and 14/15mm), with the bigger coins depicting a horse's head. the smaller a horse surrounded by rouelles and an S. On the reverse of both types were branches and foliage. This description suggests the coins are anepigraphic staters attributed to the Suessiones.
