Summary

The hoard comprised approximately 200 gold aurei dating to the Julio-Claudian period.They were found in association with sherds of pottery suggesting they were originally deposited in a ceramic container. It appears that they were not all catalogued although Ponton d'Amécourt examined a lot of 30 coins. M. Brun found the hoard in an area of hard and resistant ground, while working in his fields.
