Summary

The hoard comprised 'approximately one bushel of coins dating to the end of the third century AD.' The coins retained their silvering and were extremely well preserved. According to Droz, the majority of coins were of Probus, some were of Carinus and Numerian. According to Riboud, the coins were principally of Valerian, Florian, Probus, Diocletian and Maximian and were of various sizes and in silver and bronze. The hoard was found in a slot in rock during the construction of the Redelet house.
