Summary

A hoard of 387 silver coins, including a large quantity of posthumous Philip Philadelphus (121, year 19 to 32, i.e. 31-18 BC), Roman denarii (141, up to AD 207), Syrian tetradrachms (29), Arabian didrachms (Trajan, 3 coins), as well as Parthian drachms (92 up to Artabanus IV, 213-227). The later coins of Severus and the members of his family are in mint state. Found in the Nineveh excavations in the 1929-30 season.
