Summary

Gold hoard of aurei, solidi and multiple of solidi: Tetrarchy - Constantius II-Magnentius (AD 353). The hoard, which according to some sources contained around 70-80 coins and a large amount of gold jewellery, was embezzled by the finders immediately after its discovery, divided and scattered in the trade.6 AV mults. assumed to be 2x; 32 AV sol. tpq c.353 Gold: 6, 32 coins; Gold weight: c.195.8g+;
