Site comment

The hoard was found amongst 'Roman remains.' During the uncovering of the West sector at to the depth of 50 cm. Cleared with a trowel and clearly constituting the contents of a purse, the coins were scattered over an area of 4 square meters. At the time of the discovery it was not possible to precisely identify the Gallo-Roman level in which this find was lost.
