Silver. Silver trumpet brooch, the head and part of the bow surviving. There are traces of copper from the spring, which is missing, alongside the lower part of the bow, foot and catch-plate. There is a series of complex mouldings on the bow, which include an acanthus moulding with five petals. There is a series of transverse grooves within circular bands on either side of the acanthus flower; the head is plain. Dimensions: 36 x 13mm. Weight: 18.3g.
