Summary

A labouring man had found the hoard in a meadow. The cow stepped upon the crock and brake it. 3709 coins now in Salisbury and S. Wilts. Museum. A list of 4 denarii and 3705 antoniniani: Valerian I - Diocletian/Maximian I. There were 4 double struck coins: of Gallienus, Claudius II, Probus, and Maximian, minted by Carausius.
