Summary

In one of the temple's rooms, an earthenware vessel, which was covered with a lead sheet weighing 10 kilos, whose edges, folded down on all four sides, kept this vase quite tightly sealed. An irregularly drawn inscription around the neck indicates that someone named Rufus gave this vase to the goddess of the Seine. The vessel contained 836 coins along with many ex voto items. This particular composition of coins ranged from Augustus to Magnus Maximus.
