Summary

Workmen digging a sewer trench in Mill Road, Worthing unearthed part of a pottery flask containing about 2,100 antoniniani (radiates). Another sewer trench had previously cut away half of the flask, which likely resulted in the loss of part of the hoard. It appeared to have been buried in a ditch but was unassociated with any other material. 2,068 antoniniani (radiates) were documented: Gallienus to Probus.
