Summary

The hoard consists of 1,507 coins, including 5 antoniniani (radiates) and 1,502 nummi, dating to AD 335. Block lifted for micro-excavation at the British Museum. The excavation revealed one large block and two smaller clods. The large block was recorded in layers. Waterlogged coins are initially very soft, requiring careful manual cleaning. At least 36 friable greyware pottery fragments, together with organic fibres, were also recovered alongside the coins.
