Summary

129 coins: 7 antoniniani (radiates) and 122 nummi were found by two people metal detecting on ploughed land. On the same day, the detectorists recovered the coins that had been discovered in a concentrated group. No pottery was found with the coins; however, there were three copper alloy loops of varying circumference found deposited with the hoard, and these can plausibly be suggested as fastenings for a now-decomposed leather or textile bag. The hoard consists largely of coins dating to after the reform of 348, although there are also seven radiates of various emperors and two large early module nummi, one Genio Popvli Romani type of Maxentius and one Soli Invicto Comiti type of Constantine I. Coinage from the period AD 318 - 348 is not represented, similar to the Welbourn hoard and others.
