Summary

During the digging of a grave for retired General Mironov, an amphora was found at a depth of 2 arshin. It had a pointed bottom and two handles; the throat of the amphora was covered by clay and an alabaster stopper. It contained heavily worn bronze coins of the Bosporan kings. The watchman who found it and brought it to the Kerch Museum received 25 rubles for the hoard, which was sent to the imperial commission.
