Summary

A discrete group of 11 aurei of Augustus deposited together, found between 2017 and 2022. Their find spot corresponds to the position of a circular cropmark and slight earthwork, suggesting a possible Bronze Age barrow. If so, the location may have been selected by the depositor due to the visibility of the barrow as a landmark. Some coins have a testing nick on the obverse.
