Summary

While some workers were draining a field at Adderstone, they found a box (broken upon discovery) with Roman items, including 28 coins, a brass scale set, and a bridle bit. The coins and other articles were scattered on the side of the drain but were afterwards collected by the workmen present. The 28 coins were 16 large brass and 12 third brass: Hadrian-Aurelian.
