Summary

8 coins: 7 aurei: Nero - Vespasian (AD 74). Found together with a Celtic coin. No further information on this coin. The site is located near Nijmegen, on the other side of the Rhine. The coins were found at a depth of one and a half meters in the infill of a residual channel (stream gully) near Lent.

Site comment

The coins were found so close together during the excavation that they probably were deposited in a (leather) purse originally. The coins were found in a residual channel that was dry for part of the year. The coins turned out not to have been buried, but may have been hidden in reeds or bushes, for example (PAN).
