The vessel (up to the missing rim) stands 7½ in. high, and has a maximum diameter of 9¾ in. It is a cooking-pot of a grey fabric, smooth and hard, with a black finished exterior. Apart from its contents, the vessel is hardly susceptible to independent dating.
