Golden necklace
'consisting of a chain and a pendant-medallion. The loops are extended and shaped into figure-eight before bending so that each runs through the two loops formed by coiling the previous, the whole chain is quite loose. The weaving is irregular on a small portion of the chain, probably due to secondary mending after breaking.'
A pendant is suspended from the chain in the shape of a medallion, formed by a box-setting of golden foil, on whose rim golden wire is fixed, with a wide ribbed ringlet on its top. The brown-white paste is inlaid into the box-setting, into the shape of a flattened
cone, imitating multicolored chalcedony.
- Dimensions of medallion: diameter 1,7 x 1,9 cm, diameter of box-setting 1,2 x 1 ,5 cm, height with ringlet 2,5 cm.
