Gold ring with nicolo
Ring with circular link, widening in triangle to the "shoulders", on each side of the kitten. These shoulders have an openwork decor of foliage and peltate. The kitten consists of an intaglio, an oval engraved nicolo, in a thick polygonal frame. The figurative motif is a standing male figure moving to the right, on tiptoe, in a dancing attitude. The front bust wrapped in a short coat with many folds, held by one hand on the chest. The other hand is holding a large palm arranged obliquely. The head seems surrounded by a large headband. The ground line on which the character moves is clearly indicated. The engraving is very fine, detailing both the character's musculature and the folds of the drape. By comparison the head seems more caricatured.
