I have recently exported our coin level data for Roman imperial coins to the numismatic Linked Open Data portal of nomisma.org..
All Roman imperial coins that have a full description, a reference to RIC and a link to Online Coins of the Roman Empire (OCRE)., i.e. 130,000 coins belonging to 4,800 hoards, were included in the export. This is greatly expanding the geographical visualisation that nomisma.org offers, not only for entries of relevant coin types, but also for broader concepts such as mints and authorities, as explained by Ethan Gruber, Web Services Developer for the American Numismatic Society, in his blogspot.
We intend to do the same for our Republica coin data. Exports of data for which no coin level data is (yet) available can also be envisaged for the future. Such exports will facilitate integration of our data with those from other projects.
