The CHRE project will be represented by two presentations at the International Numismatic Congress, organised every six years and held this time in Warsaw.
A Round Table: The Coin Hoards of the Roman Empire project – 10 years on! Unum fiat ex pluribus, moderated by Cristian Gazdac, will bring together a number of collaborators of the project and gives us the possibility to reflect on the progress made since the start of the project, almost 10 years ago. Panelists include: Christopher Howgego, Marguerite Spoerri Butcher, Arkadiusz Dymowski, Mariangela Puglisi, Rahel Ackermann, Varbyn Varbanov, and Istvan Vida.
See here for details.
A double session on Digital approaches to coin finds, jointly organised by Marguerite Spoerri Butcher and David Wigg-Wolf, will feature a talk on our project, focussing on practicalities of data exchange with various partners, the importance of interoperability of data, the use of linked open data concepts, and show the benefits of links between online portals in order to connect interrelated information.
See here for details on the session and here for the presentation on CHRE.
